TruGuide brings AI-powered support to airway training, helping instructors manage larger groups while maintaining high teaching standards. Real-time cues and measurable feedback allow learners to practise independently between instructor-led sessions, improving confidence and skill development.

TruGuide uses Patent Pending AI software to analyse the live video laryngoscope view in real time. It currently is compatible with the Flexicare ‘ProVu’ video laryngoscope, the Karl Storz C-MAC and USB Imager products.

By providing automated visual analysis of the VL feed, TruGuide supports safe and repeatable airway training and helps reinforce the guidance instructors already teach.

TruGuide uses Patent Pending AI software to analyse the live video laryngoscope view in real time.

These intuitive messages help learners understand why a view is acceptable or unsafe and support consistent technique during both supervised and independent practice.

While TruCorp manikins provide realistic haptics and anatomy, using Video Laryngoscopes often in an airway simulated environment can be less soiled compared to real clinical practice, TruGuide helps bridge this gap by introducing:

  • Simulated lens fogging / misting (on-screen blurring). Encouraging users to simulate cleaning the lens to then remove the misting
  • Soiled Airway
  • Planned future options for mucus, vomitus and bleeding/trauma views using generative AI

Educators can deliberately increase visual difficulty, challenging learners to maintain safe technique and situational awareness even when the view is compromised.

In addition, the AirSim range allows trainers to simulate enlarged tongue oedema to increase intubation difficulty, with the AirSim Difficult Airway model adding further challenge, such as a displaced larynx and more.

TruGuide is supplied on a dedicated powerful laptop with the AI software pre-installed and configured. This ensures that performance, data handling and updates meet the required standards. The software is not currently offered as a general download for personal devices.

TruGuide has been developed to work with selected video laryngoscopes, including Flexicare ProVu and Karl Storz CMAC and USB Imager products

TruGuide can be purchased as software platform only, as a platform + VL bundle, or as a full bundle including a TruCorp AirSim Advance X manikin. If your institution already owns compatible TruCorp or Laerdal manikins, the software-only or platform options may be suitable.

The initial release of TruGuide is designed for adult airway training. Child and infant airway support is planned for future development once manikin and VL compatibility are fully validated.

We recommend the AirSim Advance adult airway manikin from TruCorp, which provides realistic airway anatomy and is widely used in simulation centres worldwide. TruGuide is also compatible with other TruCorp airway models and selected Laerdal airway heads (compatibility list in development).

Yes. TruGuide can simulate artificial lens misting by blurring the video feed, creating more challenging visual conditions. Depending on the manikin used, educators can also introduce tongue oedema, laryngospasm or other difficult airway features. TruGuide will continue to analyse the view and provide guidance within these more complex scenarios.

Yes. Each intubation attempt is recorded and analysed, allowing you to review timings, views and final tube placement. Sessions can be exported for debrief, documentation or instructor review.

The core TruGuide software is provided as a one-off licence with the initial purchase and an ongoing subscription fee. Optional ongoing subscription packages may be available for advanced analytics, additional scenarios and extended update support. Please contact TruCorp for the latest options.

When the TruGuide laptop is powered on and connected to the internet, it can automatically receive approved software updates and feature enhancements, subject to your institution’s IT policies.

The TruGuide laptop and video laryngoscope are supplied with a 1-year warranty as standard. TruCorp manikins and airway components are covered under TruCorp’s standard warranty terms. Extended coverage options may be available on request.

TruGuide is being piloted at a number of leading training centres and hospitals, with ongoing clinical and educational evaluation. Site names and case studies will be shared once permissions and publications are finalised.
